1. Be aware of the recovery phase
The more you know about the process, the easier it is for you. The healing process can be divided into 3 phases: 1) The healing of skin surface layer; 2) The peeling of dead skin; 3) The pigment reduction. During 2-4 weeks after the procedure, you will experience all these phases. Do not hesitate to ask our pigmentation professionals more about these phases!
2. Handle the brows gently and do not tear the dead skin
The eye area cannot be touch with dirty hands! The eye area can be very sensitive especially 24 h after the pigmentation. After the treatment the skin might tend to shed small dry pieces which consist of dead skin, blood and pigment. During this healing phase the skin can tickle but do not in any way tear or scratch the area. The pigmented areas should not be watered for the first 1-4 days. When you eventually rinse your eyes, do it lightly with slightly warm water and lastly pat the skin area dry.
3. Rub the treatment cream on your brows
At your first treatment time, you shall receive instructions about a cream meant for your new eyeliners. This is the best care for your liners! You can spread the cream 24 hours after the treatment. Apply a light layer of the cream in the mornings and evenings.
4. Protect your new pigmentations precisely
New pigmentations are prone to infection risks 3-4 days after the treatment. Avoid unnecessary touching of the eyes and wash as well as apply cream only with clean hands.
Avoid sauna and heavy sweating, so that the pigment does not go away due to the sweat. Do not swim in swimming halls for approx. 7 days because of high infection risks. For example the chlorine and other chemicals that the water contains, might weaken the stability of the color and even change the tone of the pigmentations.
Do not use makeup or other cosmetics apart of the one you need to put on your eyes or eyelids for the first 7 days.
5. Avoid solarium and sun
Solarium is not recommended for at least the first two weeks. This recommendation also applies to the sun. Excessive sunshine effects negatively on the pigment, which has been put on the skin surface layer during the procedure. If the just done pigments get too much sun light, the pigment will start to fade away faster than normal and the eyeliners will require a new stronger retouch. After the procedure the skin is more sensitive to sunburn, so it is good that you protect the eyes with SPF 50- sun cream.
6. Be careful with medical procedures
If you have been a blood donor, tell the pigmentation professionals about it. Also have a discussion with the blood donor nurse if you are going to take pigmentation. Sometimes it might demand 4-6 months after the procedure that the blood will return to its normal state. Normally it would return back to normal in about a week. On top of that, procedures where they use different types of laser techniques might postpone the taking of the Shadow-brows. Always tell your doctor before any procedures about the pigmentation operation.
7. No eye makeup or any anti-age creams
For at least 7 days after the procedure, we recommend that you do not use any makeup on your eyes, eyelids and lashes. Do not use anti-age cream until the eyeliners have fully healed. We recommend that you keep all other creams and cosmetic products away from the eyes during the recovery phase.
8. The result after pigmentation is not necessarily the end result
For the next 2 days the pigment will be at its darkest, so do not be frighten. The end result/color of the eyeliners are not going to be as dark as what they were when you leave the procedure
The color of the pigment will fade a little bit after the treatment once the liners start to heal. The price includes the retouching which is done (if necessary) 8 weeks from the first treatment.
9. Do not hesitate to contact your pigmentation professional!
If you have any questions during the healing process time do not hesitate to contact the professionals. If your question is about the look of the eyeliners, then attach a picture of your eyeliners ( taken in good light) to that message and send it to email@example.com.
