Story of Blue Lagoon Beauty

The dream of owning a business started in 2006 from a ten square meter beauty salon room in Meilahti, Helsinki. In order to attract customers, our founder Sini decided to set up a pop-up nail studio in the Kamppi shopping center. The intention was to keep Kamppi’s spot up for a couple of months and attract customers to the salon in Meilahti.

However, chance intervened in the game and soon Sini found herself in a new 60-square-meter space in Kampi. Kamppi’ salon made it possible for the first four contract entrepreneurs to join. This was the beginning of the Blue Lagoon success story.

Sin has always had a strong desire to work hard and the belief in success has been strong. She has been driven forward by the vision that she wants to create a comfortable workplace for beauty professionals and offer customers the best possible service when they want it.

From the beginning, we have been guided by the courage to try new things and do things without prejudice. As a result of long-term work and high-quality professionalism, the customer base has been established quickly and we have grown at great speed: today Blue Lagoon employs 150 professionals, most of whom are contract entrepreneurs. Service managers, customer service and marketing work in the administration.

In 2018, we started expanding and opened the Iso Omena and Kolmkulma locations, after which Turku, Kallio and Punavuori were also opened. In 2021, we started franchising and the first franchise entrepreneur’s lease was signed in July 2021 and the first franchise location opened in Helsinki Töölö in August 2021. Our future goal is to grow the business by expanding franchising.

Blue Lagoon’s values ​​provide an important framework for doing our work and developing our company. Our operations are guided by courage, professionalism, trendiness and community spirit.
