Volume lashes
Volume eyelashes use a method where several eyelash fibers are glued to one eyelash in a fan shape. However, the method does not burden your own eyelashes more than classic eyelash extensions, because volume eyelash fibers are thinner than classic eyelash fibers. Our eyelash technician makes fans out of the fibers and then the weight is spread more evenly on your own eyelashes. True volume lash fans are symmetrical and airy soft. 2-10 pieces of volume eyelash fibers are glued to one fan, depending on the final result, what kind of fibers are used and the customer’s own eyelashes.
It is also possible to create very natural eyelash styles with volume fans, as the number of fibers can be varied according to the desired end result and the carrying capacity of your own eyelashes. Volume lashes are also a good option for sparse lashes, as the fan brings more thickness and fullness to the sparse lash line than individual classic extensions. We recommend volume eyelashes when you want a very individually tailored end result or you would like more volume in your eyelashes.
Typically, all the more special eyelash styles and results are achieved with the help of volume eyelashes, because by adjusting the length and thickness of the fans, volume eyelashes can create numerous different results. With narrower fans, you can create a dark and intense look, while with wider fans, you can bring airiness to the lashes, and cover gaps in fewer lashes. By combining different lengths, you can also create a more broken and star-like so-called “Kardashian lashes”. Eyelashes can be installed so that the eye can be opened more and the illusion of bigger eyes is created. Different styles suit different eyes. Our professional eyelash technicians are happy to recommend which type of eyelash design suits your eyes and face best.
Classic lash extensions
In classic eyelash extensions, individual eyelash fibers are used, i.e. one eyelash fiber is glued to each individual eyelash. Different styles can also be made with classic eyelash extensions, but compared to, for example, volume lashes, classic lashes achieve a “more detailed look”, and in terms of style, you can mainly play with the length of the fibers. We recommend classic eyelash extensions if you want a separated or mascara-like end result. Classic eyelashes give your eyelashes more length, but if you wish to have more volume in your eyelashes, we recommend volume eyelashes for this.
Hybrid lashes
Hybrid lashes are a combination of volume lashes and classic lashes. In hybrid eyelashes, the eyelashes are typically made for the most part with volume fans, in addition to which a few individual classic eyelash extensions are put on the eyelashes, to create more uneven lash line. By adjusting the length of classic fibers, the intensity of the end result can be adjusted.
If you want hybrid eyelashes, make an appointment for Pro-level volume eyelashes, and tell your eyelash technician about your wish to get hybrid eyelashes.

Applying eyelash extensions & durability
In eyelash extensions, eyelash fibers are glued to your own eyelashes, so you get a spectacular end result without mascara. The fibers are attached with a special glue intended for eyelash extensions. With eyelash extensions, the customer’s eyelashes can be naturally or spectacularly thick – depending on the customer’s wishes and eyelash quality. We mostly use black lash fibers, but in some salons you can also find other colors (e.g. brown fibers). Normally, people have about 50-150 eyelashes per eye, so the final results can vary a lot depending on the customer. Eyelash growth time is approx. 60-90 days, depending on which, the duration of eyelash extensions varies from three to even eight weeks. If applied correctly, the extensions will not damage your own eyelashes, and the eyelashes should not hurt or feel unpleasant, so please remember to tell your lash technician if something feels uncomfortable during the lash appointment.
Fibers of classic eyelash extensions and volume eyelashes & eyelash maintenance
At Blue Lagoon, you can choose between C, CC and D curves for classic eyelashes. The thickness of the classic lash extensions is 0.12. The most common maintenance interval is about three weeks.
In Blue Lagoon, you can choose from four different curves and 6-14 mm long fibers for volume lashes. The curves are C, CC, D and M. The thickness of the eyelash fiber is usually 0.07, but some curves are available in thickness 0.05 for customers with soft eyelashes. The most common maintenance interval is four weeks, because holes in volume lashes are not as easily visible as, for example, in classic eyelash extensions
Different lash styles
If you wish for variation or changes to your eyelash extensions, talk to your artist, communication is very important. Our Pro-level artists master several different lash styles, from extremely natural lashes to really thick lashes! If you wish, you can also present pictures of eyelashes that you like, so that our lash professional gets a clear idea of your wishes. Depending on the length and strength of your own eyelashes and your eye model, our lash professional will recommend a suitable lash style that will not damage your own lashes.
Volume lashes allow for more different lash styles. If your wishes include, for example, wet look eyelash extensions, then please make an appointment for volume eyelashes.

Expertise levels of our lash technicians
Trainee level
Trainee-level lash technicians work for us from time to time, whose services can sometimes be booked. Trainee-level artists are beginner eyelash technicians, which is why they only implement basic styles, and applying eyelashes clearly takes more time than more experienced artists.
Junior level
A Junior-level lash technician knows the basic technique (classics & volumes). If necessary, the Junior-level lash technician gets help in the salon from the Pro-level lash technician. The finish on the Junior-level lashes is neat, the fibers are correctly installed, the fan is open correctly (considering the different techniques), the fan leg stays together and the glue is smooth to use. The use of time is more developed compared to the Trainee-level technicians. Product knowledge is basic. We recommend Junior-level eyelash extensions when you want good-quality and safe eyelash extensions cost-effectively.
Pro level
A Pro-level eyelash technician has a long experience with eyelash extensions, and a Pro-level eyelash technician knows well not only the basic techniques (classic & volumes) but also different eyelash styles. The flexibility of the technique, the use of time and product knowledge have developed, and the installation technique of challenging eyelashes is also well mastered by Pro-level eyelash technicians. We recommend Pro-level eyelash extensions when you value fast work and high professional expertise, you want as thick eyelashes as possible, you have challenging eyelashes, you have had problems with eyelash extensions in the past or you want to try different eyelash styles.

The junior level lash technician knows the basic techniques (classic&volume). In the junior level the technician product knowledge is in the basic level, time management is more developed than in the trainee level. The junior lash technician will get support from the pro level technicians if needed. In the junior level lashes the finished product means that the lash fibers are correctly installed, the fan is correctly open (considering on the different techniques), the fan’s leg stays intact and the use of the glue is fluent.

”Halusin luoda BL Collectioniin jotain trendikästä ja näyttävää. Ripset ovat inspiroituneet manga lash -trendistä, jossa jäljitellään mangahahmoille ominaista piikikästä, mutta söpöä ripsityyliä. Tyylin pääpaino on näyttävissä pitkissä piikeissä, jotka on rakennettu useammasta erillisestä volyymiripsinipusta ja aseteltu ripsiin tasaisesti. Piikkien väliin jäävät ripset täytetään kevyillä ja lyhyillä wet look -ripsillä. Uudesta BL Winter Collectionista löytyy upea inspiraatiotyyli myös ripsiin! ✨ Tämä näyttävä juhlaripsityyli ei kaipaa kaverikseen välttämättä muuta silmämeikkiä, ja look säilyy upeana aina juhlien pikkutunneille asti! Nämä manga ja anime -tyyliset näyttävät ripsipidennykset on toteutettu CC-kaarella ja pituuksilla 6-12 mm. Tyyli on tehty volyymiripsikuiduilla ja tekniikkana on hyödynnetty wet look -ripsissäkin käytettyä tapaa, jossa kuituja ei avata viuhkaksi, vaan ne jätetään tiiviimmiksi "nipuiksi".
