Mindfulness Massage

A holistic and calming mind and body treatment 

Mindfulness allows you to relax and practice your presence. At Blue Lagoon, we have developed a new, innovative treatment that combines relaxing massage with a mindfulness audio tape produced exclusively for this treatment. Through the headphones, you will hear a mindfulness guided audio tape to help you be present and ease your mind. The head or foot massage by a professional will make you fully relax.

Mindfulness massage reduces stress and tension and improves sleep quality. The treatment is also energizing and can be given as a one-time or serial treatment. Our recommendation for severe stress / tension is a 12 weeks treatment period with our Mindfulness Massage done every other week.

At the beginning of the treatment, you can choose whether you want a massage for the head or foot. The massages are a combination of classic massage and acupoint treatment. Massage relaxes muscles, improves metabolism and blood circulation and increases lymph circulation. The massage on the head area includes the head and the neck-shoulder area. A foot massage includes the feet and calves.

Mindfulness Massage is not like the intense massage performed by a sports massagers.

We do not recommend massage at all in the following cases:

  • Illness (flu, etc.)
  • Infectious skin disease
  • Heart failure
  • High blood pressure
  • Malignant tumor
  • Pregnancy (relative contraindication)

We do not recommend massaging areas with:

  • Inflammation
  • Wound
  • Varicose
  • Venous thrombosis
  • Ischemic tissue
  • Bruise
  • Tear / sprain / muscle spasm
  • Fracture
  • Irritated mole
